Top 3 DraftKings Bets Today: Barstool Home Run Odds Surge
Aaron Judge O/U 0.5 Home Runs
The term chalk has taken on a negative connotation to where it’s used to describe bad bets. The fact that someone would bet the first option on the board is inconceivable, almost meant as stayaways. Of course, that’s ridiculous but even further emphasized by boosting a “chalk” option like Aaron Judge. The Barstool promo allows us to take any home run play and add +200 odds. The starting point for this bet is +175, which is far below OddsShopper’s +224 true odds. However, once we add the boost, this becomes Judge to home run at +375 — an incredible return. This also beats BetMGM’s +230, now the second-best price in the market.
Yusei Kikuchi enters tonight’s game with a 24.2% strikeout rate and not much else going well. With 30 bombs already on the campaign, Judge is unsurprisingly atop the Yankees stats and metrics for power hitting. A righty/lefty matchup against a pitcher with poor exit velocity and hard-hit rate means some chances for Judge to go long. At +375, he’s a steal no matter where you bet him, but we can only get that price on DraftKings.

MLB Stepped Up 30% Parlay Boost
The more you add, the higher the boost. You begin with a 20% boost on a three-leg parlay and can take it all the way to a 100% boost with anything 10-plus legs. We settled for five, hoping that would suffice knowing there’s a 30% boost to go with it. I didn’t just create this five-legger on my own; in fact, I’m only responsible for one of them. Instead, I got some help as I went to the OddsShopper Discord, taking an MLB play from a couple of our cappers. Leg 1: Ian Happ Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI
This is a Nathan Joyce special if I’ve ever seen one. Few offer and dominate this market on our Discord much like Nathan, this and the NRFI/YRFIs. Happ faces a struggling Colin Rea who can’t strike anyone out and is giving up an uncomfortable amount of quality . Happ is better than his current numbers, and Joyce found us +110 as our first play.
Leg 2: Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 vs. Miami Marlins
I absolutely love this play even though it’s not mine. Ben Rasa threw this play on the Discord just before 10 a.m. ET — Lindy was still sleeping. The Marlins return from sneaking out a late-inning victory, squandering another strong performance by Phillies ace Zack Wheeler. This is one of the best teams in baseball, especially at home with a margin of victory far ahead of the run line. Ben is right to identify a solid revenge spot.
Leg 3: Albert Suarez Under 3.5 Strikeouts Thrown
We get this leg from Greg Ehrenberg, who provided a nice edge for us with an earlier price. Just like with a few other legs here, the best individual price might not come from DraftKings, but once boosted, we get a better overall break. Suarez has an 18.7% strikeout rate and faces the Rangers, who have few holes in their swings. There are not many strikeouts to be offered up by this stingy Texas team that should make Suarez work for every out.
Leg 4: Jarren Duran Over 1.5 Total Bases
Sure, an argument could be made that I’m throwing Isaiah Sirois’ pick in here simply because he could be editing this very piece (editor’s note: He’s not). Did I mention that this is my favorite leg? It’s truly a solid one, jokes aside, as Duran will have plenty of at-bats tonight atop the lineup at Fenway. Randy Vasquez has a 14.6% strikeout rate and has been hit all over the park. With the lineup lurking below, it’s going to be hard for Vasquez — or anyone in the pen — to pitch around Duran.
Leg 5: Ke’Bryan Hayes Under 0.5 RBI
The last leg is mine. The Pirates have a tough one on the road in Atlanta tonight, facing Charlie Morton and his 24.1% strikeout rate. He’s been hittable at times, but overall Morton has kept his xBA within range. Hayes has been doing well avoiding strikeouts, but the just hasn’t been great. He’s become more a liability this year with runners in scoring position than a threat. Unlikely he hits a solo shot off Morton either, so we end with this anchor play.

WNBA 50% SGP(X) Boost
Once again we look to OddsShopper for some guidance here as we build a three-leg SGPx to get a 50% boost in return. We take advantage of this massive boost on a parlay which increases the value of individual legs. Our first leg is DeWanna Bonner under 7.5 rebounds in the Dream-Sun matchup. Bonner is normally -125 for this play on DraftKings, which is narrowly beaten by the -124 true odds. But by adding this in a three-leg booster, we can increase each leg’s EV to move this ahead of the -124.
It’s the same strategy for the same-game parlay for the late game between the Los Angeles Sparks and Phoenix Mercury. We find over 4.5 Natasha Cloud rebounds at +124 on DraftKings; the line moved elsewhere, but we still found the best price here. We don’t need to be locked in with the WNBA on a nightly basis to take advantage of a promo like this. Finally, we end with Diana Taurasi under 4.5 assists. We get the -125 price at DraftKings, which is already beating the -127 true odds. Each leg gets ahead of their market price either before or via the odds boost. By taking advantage of a massive 50% increase, we create this +EV parlay boost!
