Heading into the second week of the NFL season, we have more data available to use when identifying the best bets of the weekend. This is true in more than one way. Bears-Buccaneers Week 2 Player Prop
Justin Fields O/U 169.5 ing Yards
This is about opportunity more than anything else. Chicago had a somewhat tight leash on Fields as far as ing attempts went last year. He didn’t have a single game with over 28 ing attempts. It looks like 2023 will present a different game plan. In a Week 1 loss, Fields threw the ball 37 times and finished with 216 ing yards. The Bears are road underdogs against the Buccaneers, opening the opportunity for Fields to get busy throwing the football again.

Chargers-Titans Week 2 Player Prop
Ryan Tannehill O/U 30.5 ing Attempts
With DeAndre Hopkins missing practice all week because of an ankle injury, his status is in doubt for the Titans’ Week 2 matchup with the Chargers. Hopkins appears more likely to sit than play, which is a downgrade to Tannehill and the Tennessee ing game. If Hopkins sits, look for the Titans to prioritize running the football and building a game plan around Derrick Henry as a workhorse. Wait until there is an update on Hopkins before placing this bet.

Chiefs-Jaguars Week 2 Player Prop
Travis Kelce O/U 79.5 ing Yards
The Chiefs’ ing game looked terrible in Week 1. Patrick Mahomes was a one-man offense, making every play possible but there wasn’t much he could do to get his receivers to catch the football. Kelce was out for the opener, a Thursday Night Football game against the Lions and Mahomes’ teammates let him down. Dropped es by Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore sank Kansas City, increasing the urgency for Kelce to get back on the field. He is expected back for Week 2, which is a welcome sight for Mahomes. I am expecting a healthy dose of targets for the star tight end after the receiving corps looked incredibly unreliable last week with Kelce out.
