Logan Gilbert has had some dominating starts this season. Even before his complete-game shutout against the San Francisco Giants, Gilbert was slinging the ball well. His 3.40 xERA and .238 xOBA are career bests and have been on full display as of late. That’s not even the best part of his game; his 4.7% walk rate ranks in the top 5% of MLB pitchers.
The scary part of attacking this prop is how deep Gilbert will go into the game. Luckily, the Mariners bullpen is fresh, with Luis Castillo and Bryan Woo having stellar starts to kick off the series.
